Anna Pavlova, born Anna Matveyevna Pavlova, was a Russian prima ballerina of the late 19th and the early 20th centuries. She was a principal artist of the Imperial Russian Ballet and the Ballets Russes of Sergei Diaghilev.
She does not have an Ordinary People Change the World book, but she appeared in an episode of Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum called I Am Anna Pavlova.
Born in 1881 and met in 1891, she would be approximately 10 years old when meeting the Riddles for the first time, and then sixteen years later she'd be 26 when they visit her in 1907.
She is voiced by Elizabeth Gnidash.
Background
Anna had applied for the Imperial Ballet School at 9 and been rejected for looking sickly, but had been accepted the following year, so the Riddles would've met her during her first year as a student.
The school was run by Marius Petipa, and Anna's teacher seen in the episode is likely meant to be Ekaterina Vazem, since her other teacher Pavel Gerdt was male like Marius.
Her swan Jack Pavlova is shown in a photograph at the end.
Trivia
- closed captions describe the sound Brad Scott makes to seeing her dance in 1907 as "dreamy sigh"
