David Takayoshi Suzuki is a Japanese Canadian geneticist, television host, and environmental activist. Suzuki received a Bachelor of Arts in biology in 1958 and a PhD in zoology in 1961, becoming a geneticist. He became a public figure after hosting the CBC TV series Suzuki on Science for two years. In 1979, Suzuki began to host The Nature of Things on CBC TV. The series was lengthened to an hour and renamed The Nature of Things with David Suzuki and he has remained the show’s host until 2023. In 1990, he established the David Suzuki Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes solutions to environmental problems. He has become one of Canada’s most recognizable and vocal environmentalists.
He is voiced by Kojiro Hamasaki.
He does not have an Ordinary People Change the World book, but appears in an episode of Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum titled I Am David Suzuki.
