I Am Jesse Owens is the first segment of the 35th episode in Season 1 of Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum.

Synopsis[]

Brad is excited to show off his bowling skills to Xavier and Yadina, but when he steps up to the line, a noisy bowler in the next lane ruins his concentration. After a few clumsy gutter balls, Brad retires to the bench in frustration, but Xavier and Yadina aren’t about to let him give up so easily… to the Secret Museum! Our heroes are sent back in time to meet a talented and inspiring athlete, Jesse Owens. Jesse wows us with his quick feet as a kid, then with his awesome speed on the track field. Sadly, Jesse’s ‘teammates’ are less than encouraging, simply because his skin is a different color than theirs. Our trio watch in awe as Jesse fights hard to shut out all that negativity, then blow past it, running all the way to the 1936 Olympic Games where he wins an astonishing four gold medals. Brad is inspired to return to the bowling alley where he stops focusing on the loud kid in the next lane and instead focuses on doing his best.
