I am Jigonsaseh is the first segment of the 36th episode in Season 1 of Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum.
Etymology[]
This episode uses an alternate spelling from other popular ways to spell her name, including:
- Jigonhsasee
- Jikonhsaseh
- Jikonsase
It appears to be a blend of the first two, appropriating the "G over K" of the first, and the "seh over see" of the 2nd.
Synopsis[]
Jigonsaseh, the Mother of Nations of the Haudenosaunee, inspires the trio to stop arguing with each other.

It aired in Singapore in February 2021, followed by Canada in June. It premiered on PBS on November 1, 2021, along with its sister episode I Am Sacagawea.
Before it aired, it was released on the PBS Kids website and app on October 29, 2021.
Timeline[]
Xavier opens the show saying Jigonsaseh was born "about a thousand years ago". There is actually a lot of debate about when she founded the Confederacy: some say betwee AD 1142-1450; others place it between 1570–1600. Either way, at most this should've been under 900 years, so Xavier clearly rounded up in the introduction.
Later when the museum displays when they go back, it displays the year 1000, indicating it is about year 2000 in present day. Berby whispers how long ago it is to Brad but he doesn't say it aloud.

- This is the 36th episode in production order, but it aired as the 34th.
- Its sister episode was previously paired with I Am Confucius, but is now paired with Jigonsaseh for unknown reasons. This pairing violates the boy-girl rule for episode pairings.
